13 – MAKE A DIFFERENCE – END INDIFFERENCE: POLITICAL AND SPIRITUAL ACTION PLANS

STEP1: The reader must first decide on his or her worldview:

STEP 2: This is a no-brainer.  Based on your worldview, decide on the political party you will vote for in the NEXT election:

STEP 3: “Do something” politically, in addition to voting in the next election.  Stick with status quo plans and status quo apathy and Canadians will surely live under homosexist governance.  Heterosexists need a “fast turnaround strategy;” an “innovative campaign strategy;” a “new rallying call;” a counterattack.  “MAKE A DIFFERENCE – END INDIFFERENCE,” get involved by supporting candidates who are against marriage redefinition.  Give them your time not an e-mail, not a letter.  Campaign for their election.  Organize a townhouse with same-sex marriage on the agenda.  Engage the other side. 

STEP 4: Cleanup our own backyard first.  Christians can petition God until the proverbial “cows come home.”  However, if they do not have the spiritual eyesight or conviction (will power) to first separate from the apostate, God will not respond.  “Pro-gay Christianity,” is not an option, it is apostasy, it is counterfeit religion, and it is cultism.  While the United Church petitions God to save Canada from religious orthodoxy, UCC reformers cry out: “God perform a miracle and stop same-sex marriage, but please don’t ask me to leave the United Church.”  “God, since 1989 the United Church has been on a track to full ”PAGANIZATION,” and with same-sex marriage this is now complete, but please don’t ask me to leave.”  The Community of Concern cries out: “No matter how betrayed you feel, don’t give up your membership in the United Church…Do you want to see Unitarianism become the lodestone of the United Church?” Do you want the United Church “to have little more effect than a service club in setting the moral tone of society?” National-level intercessors, at the 2005 Prayer Launch, cry out from the pulpit and pews of an Ottawa United Church: “REPENT for this, REPENT for that, save us from same-sex marriage.”  Afterwards, the same church invites a staunch homosexist minister to speak at their 80^th Anniversary celebration.  God will not be mocked.  The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada needs to REPENT for the notion of petitioning God’s help from the pews of a United Church.  Christians need to petition the EFC to confess this absurdity before the next election.  The few remaining evangelicals within the UCC need to get out now (1 Corinthians 6:14-17).

STEP 5: Canadian Christendom is replete with: (1) same-sex marriage fence sitters; (2) pastors and evangelists, who have kept the homosexual issue out of sight or the marriage redefinition matter on a backburner; (3) soft evangelicals who associate with pro-gay churches and denominations with indifference; and (4) the misguided - naively liberal-minded.  Just as the founding creed was developed to defend the early Christian Church from the ravages of Gnosticism, a new augmented creed, backed by Evangelicals and Catholics is needed to rally the faithful, give hope to those seeking rebirth from homosexuality, and to address the advent of homosexist theology and the prospect of human cloning.  Write to your pastor or priest, area and national headquarters; to the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada, and challenge them to draft an augmented statement of Christian faith which clarifies the following tenets:

(1)   Human life begins at conception (fertilization) and is a gift of God.  Human cloning is not a divine gift but is a reflection of man’s desire to become the Creator.  All human life, regardless of age and functionality, has God-given intrinsic worth and an inherent right to life.  Abortion is only tolerable in the last resort to save the mother’s life.

(2) God has designed humans to be male or female, anatomically matched for heterosexual pair bonding and procreative union.  God intends sexual activity to be exclusively preserved for the marital partner and monogamously contained within the marriage covenant.  Marriage is meant to be the life-long union of one man and one woman.  God hates divorce.

(3) God intends marriage to be the societal foundation for bearing and rearing children.  The Biblical family model consists of responsible heterosexual parents, biologically connected to their children.  

(4) Homosexuals live in a false reality before God, falling short of God’s intended heterosexual design and purpose for humanity.  God does not elect homosexuals to adopt the lifestyle they choose.  God’s judgment lies in leaving homosexuals where they want to be and giving them over – heart, body, passions and mind - to this untrue reality.

(5) Homosexuals and heterosexuals will not inherit the Kingdom of God unless they are born again of the Spirit.  The Christian witness of ex-gays, ex-lesbians and born again heterosexuals to the saving grace of Jesus Christ is continuing testimony to God’s sovereign authority and His loving plan for our redemption from the wages of contravening His Law. 

In “True Love Changes You: How Jesus Christ Loved Me Out of Homosexuality,” Mike Ensley writes: “One day, when I was in one of the places I went to ‘hook up,’ feeling disgusted with myself but hopelessly needy, I was suddenly overcome by the presence of the Lord.  I heard this voice in my heart telling me Jesus had followed me there, even to that nasty sinful place, and wanted me to come back with Him.  This revelation about His true feelings toward me began a slow but inevitable change in my mind.  I knew I was meant for better, and for the first time dared to believe my life could change…[Now] everyone wants to know: “Do I like girls!?” The answer is: “I’ll get there when I’m supposed to!”  Many aren’t impressed to hear this.  You aren’t supposed to be impressed with me, but with God’s love, grace and power.  Heterosexuality isn’t the goal, holiness is.  And I am getting there!...As I walk daily in deeper intimacy with Him, and in genuine intimacy with other guys, I experience continuing victory over this struggle…Soon I will celebrate four years of freedom.”[1] 

Canadian heterosexists need nothing short of a miracle to stop same-sex marriage.  And this is a good thing!  The God of our Constitution is in the business of performing miracles; let us do our part to reverence Him.  The Apostle Paul states in Romans 8:28, “We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Paul also proclaims in Romans 8:31: “If God is for us, who can be against us?”  Pray God pulls our country back from the abyss of secular humanist indifference and away from an eclipse of homosexist false reality.  And may Canada find its true Constitutional destiny as a model tolerant “heterosexist” democracy.
